What data the app collects

None. Sand Mandala sends no information about you or about how you use the app to anyone — not to us, not to third parties. It uses no advertising identifiers, does not track you across apps or websites, and includes no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. On the App Store it is listed as “Data Not Collected”.

What is stored on your iPad

Your recordings (the gestures you play with, not audio), your melody lists, your alarms and your settings are stored in the app’s storage on your own iPad. The widgets read your upcoming alarms from a space the app shares with them, also on your iPad. None of this is sent anywhere.

If you have device backups turned on (in iCloud or on your computer), the system includes them as it does for any app. Those backups are handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.

Microphone and other permissions

Sand Mandala does not use the microphone, the camera, your location, your contacts or your health data. The only permission it asks for is to schedule alarms, to wake you with the bowls.

Exporting and sharing

If you export a recording, the app creates an audio file on your iPad, and you decide, with the system’s share sheet, where to save it or whom to send it to.

Purchases

Sand Mandala Full is bought on the App Store. Apple handles the payment and your account details; the app receives none of your payment information, only whether the purchase has been made. If you share it with Family Sharing, Apple handles that in the same way.

Siri, Shortcuts, widgets and alarms

Alarms are scheduled with the system’s own tools on your iPad. If you create or skip one with Siri or Shortcuts, your request is processed by Apple under its privacy policy, and the app receives only the alarm’s time and melody. The widgets and the lock-screen notice show information that is already on your iPad.

Links

The app’s credits link to the recordings’ pages and their licences; they open in your browser and have their own policies.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, scripts or third-party resources — even the typefaces are served from here. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; as the hosting provider, GitHub may log technical data about visits, such as the IP address, to provide the service and for security, under its own privacy policy.

If you write to us

If you write to soporte.islandlabs@icloud.com, your email address and message are used only to answer you. We keep them until your question is resolved and for 12 months at most; then we delete them. We share them with no one. We process them in order to answer the question you asked us.

Children

Sand Mandala collects no data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

For any data you have sent us by email, you may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to soporte.islandlabs@icloud.com. If you believe we have not handled them properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or to the authority where you live.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with its date.
